French Door FAQs

uPVC or aluminium — which should I choose?

uPVC (Liniar) is the more cost-effective option with excellent thermal performance. Aluminium (Sheerline Prestige Doors) gives slimmer sightlines for a more contemporary look. We’ll talk through both on survey.

French doors or patio doors — what’s the difference?

French doors swing open like a pair of hinged doors; patio doors slide sideways on a track. French doors give a wider fully-open aperture; patio doors need less clearance space.

Are French doors secure?

Yes — both our uPVC and aluminium systems use multi-point, PAS24-compliant locking as standard.
