Tilt & Turn Windows in Southampton & Hampshire

Tilt & turn windows from Itchen Glass & Glazing offer secure ventilation and easy cleaning for homes across Southampton and Hampshire. Opening inward from the top for background ventilation, or fully on a side hinge for cleaning and full access, they’re a practical choice for upper floors and high-rise apartments where an outward-opening window is impractical.

Our tilt & turn windows are built on Liniar uPVC profiles, made to measure and fitted with multi-point locking as standard.

Tilt & Turn Window FAQs

Are tilt & turn windows secure when opened in the tilt position?

Yes — the locking mechanism isn’t released when the window is opened on the tilt setting, so it stays secure while still allowing ventilation. Liniar tilt & turn windows are also compatible with PAS24 security accreditation.

Do tilt & turn windows need much maintenance?

Very little. Wiping the frames down with a mild detergent keeps them looking good, and a light oil applied to the opening mechanisms once a year keeps them operating smoothly. The outside of the glass can be cleaned safely from inside when the window is opened in the ‘turn’ position.

Do tilt & turn windows include the patented Liniar bubble gasket?

Yes. Liniar’s unique, patented co-extruded bubble gasket runs as a continuous seal around each frame, including the corners, keeping the window draught and leak-free.
